Features

  • Delivers up to 22kW of power on three-phase power (7.4kW on single-phase power).

  • Advanced load control. Charging multiple cars can put a strain on your building’s power and fuse board. A separate Load Guard sensor is installed on the building‘s fuse board to measure electrical currents and send real-time data to the charging station. The charging stations can respond and increase or decrease the power provided to EVs. This prevents overloading your building’s fuse board, avoiding power fuse trips and costly electrical upgrades.

  • Clustering. You can cluster up to 30 INCH Pro units together to share the available energy and assign charging priority to users who need it most. One unit will be assigned as the lead charger, and will talk to the others over a local area network.

  • Scale with demand. Thanks to the power management features in this charger, you can add more charge points at a later point often without needing to perform expensive electrical upgrades to your power boards, which can otherwise cost tens of thousands of dollars.

  • Several connectivity options. With a variety of connectivity options including SIM card and Ethernet (WiFi available on special order) this charger can be seamlessly integrated into your building management system.

  • A variety of access options can be set to either:

    • Free access enabling users to simply plug in and charge (suitable for free chargers or when chargers are in a secure garage)

    • One-off charging for clients by scanning a QR code on the digital display screen of the charger that leads them straight to a payment portal to charge without downloading an app or creating an account

    • Authenticate via the Thundergrid App, viewing charge sessions live, see all your invoices and find out about your car’s specifications all in one place

    • Require a PIN code or RFID tag to unlock the charger (suitable for locations where you want to restrict access)

    • Require users to pay via the Thundergrid billing platform.

  • Customise your settings via the web interface. Access in-depth insights into your charging, set charging guidelines and power limits for smart, cost-efficient charging.

  • User and charge session data. Monitor charge session reports and bill users for the time or energy consumed or sign up to Thundergrid for a fully automated billing service. This is ideal for fleets and internal department cost centres, apartment body corporates and more.

  • Designed to last. This charger has a solid aluminium water-resistant housing and is prepared for the toughest outdoor environments (certified IP54 standard). It also includes a shatter-proof acrylic glass plate, plus a two-year product warranty.

  • Future-focused. With open protocol software (OCPP) this charger can be seamlessly integrated into your building and can be linked to future charging platforms. As more EVs hit the road, our national power supply will be impacted. This charger can be linked in the future to the national grid to respond to tariffs and the supply of greener energy.

  • Built-in electrical safety protection. With a built-in RCD Type A and DC leakage detection sensor, there is often no need for an external RCD Type B device to be installed on your fuse board. Consult your electrician for advice.
