On Tuesday 11 February Landis+Gyr made the difficult decision to immediately cease operations of their EV hardware business (formerly called Etrel) in Europe.

Thundergrid is NOT impacted by the closure of Landis+Gyr’s Europe EV hardware charging business.

“We are a Service business. This means we have an agnostic hardware strategy. We are not exclusively selling a specific charger brand”, explains Jonny Parker, CEO of Thundergrid. Over nine charger brands are integrated to our service offering, so Thundergrid is strongly positioned. “We will continue offering varied solutions to suit all customer needs in New Zealand and Australia.”

“Thundergrid has the capability to maintain and service our existing clients”, assures Jonny Parker. “This means no disruptions to customers’ operations and business as usual for us”.

Thundergrid, a Landis+Gyr’s EV Service business is continuing to grow across New Zealand and is further expanding into Australia.
