Thundergrid was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2025 North Island Road Freight Seminar in Napier. Ia Ara Aotearoa Transporting New Zealand was hosting the successful event. With over 240 freight industry leaders and operators in attendance, the event was a powerful platform for collaboration. There was lots of learning, and innovation in the heavy transport sector.
Learning from the inside out
Our Business Development Manager, Cameron Denne, represented Thundergrid at the seminar. He was engaging directly with operators and stakeholders to better understand the realities of trucking operations and the challenges facing fleet electrification.
“It’s absolutely worth getting involved—understanding risk mitigation, getting a sense of driving hours, legislation changes, and seeing trucking operations from the inside out. These insights are essential as we want to understand and future-proof fleets without compromising their operation”, summarises Cameron Denne.
