Fun design, smart EV charging

Foodstuffs in Auckland is continuing its push for electric vehicles (EVs) by introducing more chargers for staff. To make the transition easier and add a touch of fun, Andrew Reynolds, the Technical Facilities Manager at Foodstuffs, decided to wrap their EV chargers in the company’s signature branding. Partnering with Thundergrid, we created two playful designs: The Cheeky Charlie for the 4Square EV charger and a colloquial Stick Man wrap for the Pak’n Save charger.

It was an exciting project for Thundergrid to wrap the Inch Pro EV chargers with Foodstuffs’ beloved mascots!

Fun EV charger wrap, easy use

The result looks fantastic! Speedy Signs Manukau did an incredible job, wrapping the two Inch Pro EV chargers. One appears in vibrant yellow and the other in green for Foodstuffs’ Auckland. Staff now have easy access to the chargers. They can simply start a charge session via the Thundergrid App by scanning a QR code on the charger display.

“It’s fun when staff start chatting about where they charged their cars that morning,” said Cam Denne, Thundergrid’s BDM, with enthusiasm.

It’s been a great opportunity for Thundergrid to get these chargers out in the field, and hopefully, there will be many more installations to come!
